Sort the purse before lock.
The budget planner is a printable worksheet that lists each squad slot and the purse left to spend. It is the simplest tool on LetsGame and the one LetsGame editors use the most.
The worksheet assumes an eleven-player squad with a top-order batter, a wicketkeeper, three or four all-rounders and a rotation of bowlers. The proportions are tunable.
The printed version is on the tools page as a single PDF. The interactive version is a plain HTML table that works on a phone.
Pick the captain after the lineup is locked.
The captain comparison board is a simple two-column worksheet. The left column lists the captain pick; the right column lists the vice-captain.
LetsGame editors use the board to compare the captain pick against the bowler who takes the new ball and the batter who opens the innings. The board is plain on purpose.
If the captain pick is genuinely close, the board says so. LetsGame does not invent a winner to fill a column.
Read the pitch before you commit.
The pitch sample worksheet is a printable one-pager that lists the visual cues for a dry pitch, a green pitch and a flat pitch. The cues are not exhaustive.
The worksheet is best used after the toss and before the warm-up. The cues do not change once the match starts.
If the worksheet does not match what you see, the match preview is the right place to read. The pitch sample is the quick reference, not the final word.
